National Ride Network

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026

This policy explains what National Ride Network collects about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to nationalridenetwork.com and any service we offer through it.

Who we are

National Ride Network ("NRN", "we", "us") operates a membership network connecting cyclists to group rides, routes, races, and partner discounts across US cities. You can reach us any time at nationalridenetwork@gmail.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Waitlist signup: your email address, and your city if you choose to provide it.
  • Account: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign up with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google instead of a password.
  • Membership: billing details are entered directly with our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Groups and rides: group names, event details, invitations, and messages you post.
  • Contact: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, browser and device type.
  • Device identifiers: we generate a device fingerprint to enforce the limit on simultaneous devices per membership.
  • Cookies and similar storage: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure traffic.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run NRN. They process your data on our instructions and for no other purpose:

ProviderWhat it handles
StripePayments and subscription billing
ClerkAccounts and sign-in
SupabaseApplication database
NetlifyHosting and form submissions
Google AnalyticsTraffic measurement
Google Sign-InOptional sign-in, when you choose it

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our members. If NRN is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer with the business; we will tell you before that happens.

Partner discounts

Members receive discounts at partner shops, hotels, and brands. When you follow a link to a partner or redeem an offer, that partner may collect information about you under their own privacy policy, which we do not control. We do not pass your personal information to partners unless you ask us to.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and records a truncated IP address. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies that keep you signed in will stop parts of the members' area working.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist entries: until we launch in your city and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to remove you.
  • Account data: while your account is open, and up to 90 days after you close it.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years.
  • Analytics: up to 14 months.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Stop sending you marketing email — every email has an unsubscribe link.

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the rights above plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines it. If you are in the UK or EEA, the UK GDPR and GDPR also give you the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email nationalridenetwork@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never stored by us in readable form, and card details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

Children

NRN is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will tell members by email before any change that materially affects them.
